I am awake now. To contradict my sleepy remarks previously, here is what has happened just now: Yes. Gateway not yet. My little XP SP2 internet computer not yet. But I have a quad XP SP2 machine with decent RAM (1 gig). I installed Sun xVM VirtualBox on it and tried. it. Complete success! So Gateway laptop is a problem and using a pc with ram smaller than 1 gig is a problem. This machine that worked also has an internal 250 gig hard drive. That seemed to do the trick for this type installation. It will be interesting to see what it does for full machine installation once I can find the RAM disks for my little pc. In this backwoods Third World area that can be challenging. -- Bug reported when booting & updates do not complete https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275716 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
