Interesting development on this one. I created new partitions and installed XUBUNTU 8.10. It loaded fine and is working. I am in the process of downloading the ~42 or so updates, but right now, it comes up clean, everything seems to work (even the on-board wireless...) and all appears well with the build. Question is; what are the differences between UBUNTU and XUBUNTU?
