Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager
After upgrading from amd64 Hardy with Octave installed to amd64 Intrepid, Octave was no longer installed. As far as I have noticed it was the only application so affected. This is only a minor bug as Octave can easily be reinstalled (sudo apt- get install octave). Note that "octave" is a virtual package, which in both Hardy and Intrepid is provided only by octave3.0, but in Gutsy (which this system started with) was provided by octave2.9. ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: hardy2intrepid ** Tags added: hardy2intrepid -- Octave application missing after upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298143 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
