Public bug reported: I am experiencing severe tearing during video playback with most movie players, under Intrepid.
My card: ATI X1600 Screen Resolution: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Drivers tested: fglrx and radeon Window managers: metacity and compiz Actually, compiz is not required. This machine is for a media center, so just smooth video playback over X11 is enough. I have read and tried every suggestion found by googling, for both drivers, without success, including XV, X11, OpenGL output, messing with xorg.conf, xvattr, driconf, etc. Is there a way to enable sync to vblank on this card with any driver? ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- radeon video tearing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298264 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
