Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

On my Acer Aspire 4520 notebook which I recently upgraded from 8.04 to
Ubuntu 8.10, pulseaudio hangs after approx. 24-48 hours uptime. Running
"/etc/init.d/pulseaudio restart" has no effect; my only recourse to
recover audio is "killall -9 pulseaudio".

The notebook is a AMD64 Athlon dual-core running i686 version of Ubuntu.
