Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: knetworkmanager

In freshly installed Kubuntu 8.10, I configured KNetworkManager to join
my WLAN automatically. As I understand every time I start my Kubuntu it
should now establish a connection to that WLAN automatically? But
instead it does nothing!

KNetworkManager was kind enough to add this network to the list though,
but I must always select it manually.

My WLAN doesn't announce itself. Is that the problem? Should there then
be an additional checkbox that "Connect even when network not present"?

Also it always seems to show only 2 bars on the tray icon. I beg to
disagree, second time I tried I was nearly glued on my WLAN box. And
only 2 bars? C'mon!

** Affects: knetworkmanager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
