I have the same problem. Here is the information you requested from my attempt at upgrading to 8.04:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop [sudo] password for frank: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: ubuntu-desktop: Depends: yelp but it is not going to be installed Recommends: gnome-user-guide but it is not going to be installed Recommends: ubuntu-docs but it is not going to be installed E: Broken packages [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ Thanks for any help. -- Can't install 'ubuntu-desktop' https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220814 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
