I'm looking at the unix display code in my spare time since no one in Ubuntu is looking at this.
I have a workaround that I found in a povray forum (http://news.povray.org/povray.unix/thread/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/). If you add "-visual DirectColor" to the command line the problem goes away, at least for me. I think you can set this in your povray.conf or ini file to be permanent. The problem has something to do with how povray is writing the pixel information in to the window. Oddly enough I recall seeing a similar problem in the "Loading..." window for Unreal Tournament 2004, so perhaps this is some common mistake made in pure (not using a toolkit like gtk or qt) X apps. I will keep poking at it. -- Povray preview windows appear transparent https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/224889 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
