Binary package hint: pidgin
I have configured "Log reader" plugin to read QIP logs, but some of my
contacts has ~10000 messages and every time new message arrives Pidgin
freezes for about 3-4 minutes to parser the whole file and display last
conversations (History plugin turned on).
It's another question why it takes so long time to parser the file (i'm
going to post a separate ticket), but probably you need to add an option
to either "Log reader" of "History" plugin to show last several
conversations ONLY if it's possible to retrieve them quickly.
Note, in most cases there is no need to parser whole QIP's log + append
pidgin's logs and than display only last several conversations which
more then likely from pidgin's logs.
