I had no luck. It did ask for the password unlike before, but after that it claimed varous things, like no TLS, which I wasn't using. I was using SSL It claimed an authentication error. It never allowed me to enter the password a second time. I tried various ways of logging in.
I have tried on the live 32 bit CD and my currently installed 64 bit 8.10. I have no control over the LDAP server.
