I need the USB drive in VFAT (not ext2/3). That doesn't solve the bug...


... It's been such a long time since this bug was posted here, and nobody gave 
a s**t. It's really - a shame.
I've worked around it by writing a script/bash file which mounts the usb and 
then starts Nautilus as root.
