I have a multimonitor configuration with nVidia Quadro140 (Dell Latitude D830) and have solved the problem setting the same vertical resolution for the monitor, using TwinView option. This is just a workaround, I had to force the notebook panel to work @1024 while its real vertical resolution is 1050.
