I have the same problem: After a suspend of my Laptop I am not able to find any Wireless Lan Hotspots. The hotspot-list of the network manager is empty. Deactivating an activating the boxes "Enable Wireless" and "Enable Networking" is useless.
sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart or sudo /etc/init.d/NetworkManager restart do not work, too.
