xubuntu 8.10 (2.6.27-7-generic) old Sony Vaio PCG-F560, 256 MB, 600 Mhz I get a kernel panic (total freeze, blinking caps-lock, scroll lock) usually at the graphical log-in screen; sometimes just before I try to put in my creds, sometimes after loading the desktop.
