I would volunteer to fix this in edgy if someone could point me in the right direction. I'm a developer but I have minimal experience with os- level hacking on linux. I can fiddle with initrd images but I don't know what was missed / broken to cause this bug.
Anyone care to give me a few clues so that I can work on a fix that works with edgy? I think it's pretty lousy to leave the "production" distro broken since the fix is available and the distributed documentation indicates that usb install is working. -- ubuntu edgy hd-media image couldn't mount iso file. https://launchpad.net/bugs/66220 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
