Public bug reported:

This problem is obviously in Intrepid. I'm using the 64-bit build.
There's a lot to like about the newer ath9k LBM driver such as how
quickly it connects and the correct reporting of the connection speed.
However, it has frequent dropouts that are intolerable. It will drop the
connection, then get it back a few seconds later, and the process
repeats. Network-manager doesn't report the connection dropped, but the
Internet is inaccessible for that period of time.

Dmesg looks the same with both drivers but the LBM driver makes a little
more noise in syslog:

The LBM driver keeps looping back and forth like that endlessly.
