Public bug reported:

Kubuntu 8.10 x86_64
apt-cacher-ng 0.2.1-1

I have an apt-cacher-ng server for 3 machines. Very often apt-cacher-ng
hangs, the clients stop recieving data, but the server seems to keep
fetching the last requested file. The apt-cacher-ng service needs to be
restarted so the clients can connect again. The package that was being
fetched when the server got stuck gets corrupted, as the clients report
bad MD5 checksum. The offending file must be manually erased so it gets
fetched again and passed on to the clients.

This happens vey often, with small or big files, one or several
requests, I don't see a pattern when it fails.

I had the apt-cacher-ng server working flawlessly with Hardy and Feisty,
only after setting it up with Intrepid do I get these errors. The
previous installations were x86 instead of x86_64, don't know if that
matters.

If you need any more help let me know.

Thank you.
