After upgrading from 8.04 to Intrepid Ibex 8.10, my Plextor PX-TV402U no loner functions. I have patched and compiled the go7007 drivers per instructions at http://nikosapi.org/wiki/index.php/WIS_Go7007_Linux_driver and my USB device does appear in the lsusb output. It is expected to be found at /dev/video0 but there are no video entries in /dev/ since the upgrade to Intrepid (I have noticed similar missing /dev/video* issues reported from people who try to get webcams to work under Intrepid). I am relatively new to Ubuntu but I will offer any information possible to assist in this resolution.
