I can confirm this bug in Intrepid (8.10). The "Window Menu" shortcut
option in the Compiz Config Settings Manager (ccsm) is broken. It
immediately assigns the default Button1 action to be "Move Window",
meaning the user can't click anything without (unintuitively) holding
down the Alt key. "Window Menu" isn't really disabled, either; leaving
the General Options screen and coming back in shows it enabled again on
Mouse3. If I change it to any other mouse button, it reverts to Mouse3.

I was really hoping 8.10 would fix this bug. I'd desperately like to
resize windows with Alt+Button3 like the other window managers I've
used. It's not currently possible in Ubuntu.
