Same problem experienced in 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2.1 on 8.04. The problem most definitely exists with vertical gradients too.
Has anybody discovered any workaround *at all* for this problem, bar removing all gradients? I'm in desperate need of a clean document conversion, and can find no way at all to achieve this without altering the design of all my seminar slides. Moreover, has anybody managed to locate the upstream bug report?
