I'm afraid that is not the right way to respond to this bug report. It is already filed in the appropriate place, and the developers responsible for this component are already aware of it by virtue of being bug contacts for this package in Launchpad. There is no need to take any further action in order to notify the appropriate people, and assigning bugs inappropriately causes a nuisance.
