Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 8.10

Flash videos such as on www.cnn.com do not play instead "General Error"
message displayed.  On other sites prompted to installed latest flash
player.


Adobe flash 10  reinstalled four times which I believe in the latest.  

Any help on fixing this problem would be appreciated.
