Hi,
it seems that i am unable to get a better backtrace than the one i attached
above. Tried almost anything, but the backtrace returned nothing new.
Tried also the "gdb problems" part, but the xserver didn't start properly - the
cross-looking arrow and the gray background appears.
The directory /etc/X11/core does not exist. Nothing in /var/crash. Enabled
verbose logging, but nothing eatable was logged to syslog or kern.log or any
other log.
xrestop couldn't find a display, i tried a few settings but i gave up.

One new thing a have noticed is that when booting and shutting down, the
usplash image is not shown at the screens native resolution (1024x768) , it is
smaller(shows at a higher resolution). I can hit ctrl+alt+f1 and see the
messages fly by, but here is the new and interesting part:
When the computer is at the login screen, or logged in, i can't get to a tty.
ctrl+alt+f1-f6 shows no tty, instead there is a green blurry image. gdm seems
to be running at f7, f8 and f9 at the same time. After pressing ctrl+alt+f* a
few times the x-server gives up, and shows a message similar to "a greeter
application has crashed, trying to restart", but it fails. ctrl+alt+backspace
takes me back to login screen.
I cant recall I've seen this behavior in the past. Perhaps my monitor (Nokia
447PRO) is part of the issue?

Attaching a VERY bad photo of the screen when at tty1.
