Well, I managed to fix mine. There is a conflict with the new cx18 module in 2.6.27 and the nvidia binary driver. The cx18 is the driver for Hauppauge TV tuner cards. I have a Hauppauge 1600, so it was being loaded at boot. See more here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=6315676#post6315676
