>From DpkgTerminalLog.txt: | Setting up linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic (2.6.27-7.16) ... | Running depmod. | update-initramfs is disabled since running on a live CD | Failed to symbolic-link /boot/initrd.img-2.6.27-7-generic to initrd.img. | dpkg: error processing linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic (--configure): | subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 17 That suggests your flash drive is setup to be a live system. Do you really want that? I guess that causes in /etc/initramfs-tools/update-initramfs.conf to be set to "no" (please verify that). If that's true, it is a bug in the kernel package's postinst script: If creating an initrd.img is disabled creating a symlink to it should be disabled, too. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- package linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic 2.6.27-7.16 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 17 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/305817 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
