Hey Chichi, Did you manage to install the driver on 8.10? My experience is: in 7.10 this stk11xx driver was not part of the kernel itself so I installed it. in 8.04 I assume that the driver was included in the kernel because the webcam was working from the beginning. in 8.10 it is not. I was also unable to install the driver manually on 8.10.
This bug is about a regression in the kernel ... But if you have managed to install the driver on some of the latest kernels there is some hope.
