Suppose "sudo" was the problem here, then I would expect ubuntu-bug to
print a readable user-friendly error message saying that "Please run
this program with super user privileges." instead of an unhandled
assertion with a raw stacktraced being dumped to screen.
That said, "sudo" alone is not the problem:
