Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

Reproduce:
1. Start Rhythmbox
2. Play some audio
3. Pause
4. Suspend to RAM
5. Resume
6. Run pavucontrol

You will see that the Rhythmbox stream is open (correct). Trying to
resume playback from Rhythmbox causes it to hang. Any other audio
application will be able to open a stream but not actually play anything
back.

The situation is only repaired by terminating all streams (at a guess,
thus releasing the sound device and fixing some broken state), and then
re-opening audio apps.

This is tested with the snd-hda-intel ALSA driver.
