Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Since I switched to Xubuntu Inrepid Ibex, I have been getting a lot of
random Firefox crashes. If I run Firefox from Terminal, the error I get
when it closes is either "Illegal instruction" or "Segmentation Fault".

I thought it might be related to scrolling but I have found that it's
more likely to crash when entering form data (like this bug report).
While posting to my Blog yesterday, it crashed seven times. Grrr! :-)

This doesn't seem to be related to Add-On's as the problem started
before I installed any.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox (also deleted the .mozilla
profile directory) and the problem persisted.

For that matter, I have reinstalled the entire OS to try another 8.10
distro.

I'm sure more information is needed here, but I cannot find anything
that might lead me to a crash report. Is Firefox secretly logging clues
somewhere? I have also tried starting Firefox with "strace firefox" but
it locks up when loading the default home page, and won't let me start
browsing to reproduce the problem.

Help would be appreciated.
