I am unable to reproduce this with either the client or the server. Both
are promptly removed from the menu the moment the packages are removed.
Did you change anything relating to pioneers in the menu while it was
installed? If you did, that is most likely the cause. When you modify a
menu item, it no longer stays dependant on the package as far as I know.
Check to see if it still exists in /usr/share/applications. If it
doesn't, then it is most likely because the menu entry was changed.
Try this:
Delete the menu entry while uninstalled, then reinstall it. It should reappear
as usual. Then, remove it, and the menu entry should also leave with it.
