Unfortunately it doesn't help. I changed the line "alias net-pf-10 ipv6" to "alias net-pf-10 off" in /etc/modprobe.d/aliases and insured myself that the ipv6 kernel module has not been loaded after reboot. vmware-guestd still crashes after a few seconds.
