Actually, I upgraded to intrepid and I installed the latest nvidia drivers. I notice the same spike in xorg cpu usage every time I use firefox. I can barely open the menus. I have the latest kernel as well: 2.6.27-9. I am not sure which sites trigger it though. I attached my xorg.conf file if u want to see it..
