The last one I added only for my 2.6.27-10~ppa2 kernel.

I gave your new test kernel a whirl but unfortunately, it triggers the
100% CPU problem on my computer.

Regarding the lost hotplugging, it seems it was not due to the last
patch I added. I will try to see what happened between 2.6.27-7 and
2.6.27-9 that caused this.

But I'm hoping Andy will beat me to it :-)
