I tried to click System->Administration->Softwarekilder (i.e.: System -> Administration -> Software Sources). Which did not cause any application to start. The process observed was: 1. I clicked on "Softwarekilder". 2. My mouse cursor changed to a round and rotating cursor. Meanwhile a box with the text "Stating Administrativ..." was shown in the panel. 3. This was see for about 15 seconds until it turned to be what it was before I did the click. 4. Nothing else happened. In that way I did not have access to "Installable from CD-ROM/DVD". A similar behavior was seen when I tried to click System->Administration->Synaptic - pakkehåndtering (I do not what this is called exactly in English, but something like "Synaptic - packet management"). I also tried it without success after trying to add Authorization through clicking System->Authorization and selecting "Manage system configuration". So sorry - I could not try it. Actually I do not know how to authorize myself (although I am the administrator) to use this function.
