** Description changed: I had a fresh install of 8.10 on my Compaq nx6130 notebook. When I boot into the system, it simply freeze at around 3+ minutes after the login has completed. The freeze happens regardless to 1) the programme it's currently running 2) use of original driver or proprietary driver The interesting fact about the freeze is that: 1) I can still move my mouse around but the click never worked 2) on the other hand, the keyboard never responded. (not even the caps lock, nor going into terminal or something). So I never had a chance to shutdown the system "properly". 3) the system stays idle -- CPU fan was not running and the hard disk just idles.
