Okay... lets see if we can do some troubleshooting. Start pidgin in debug mode from a terminal (pidgin --debug > ~/pidgin- debug.txt). Reproduce the bug and attach the file pidgin-debug.txt, which should be in your home directory. Feel free to mask sensitive information, if any.
