Bug #297941 is a completely different request: it requests a new version of Lyx 1.6.1 to be included in the backports.
I'm asking to update the current 1.5.x series package to 1.5.7 from 1.5.6. It is a stable bug-fix-only release that should be included in the normal updates not in the backports repository.
