Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pidgin

Sometimes when I log in, pidgin has lost all of the saved statuses I had
created. If it was shutdown with one of them, it defaults to Available
in the status selector, but it is still showing the status I had set on
the entries for myself in my buddy list. This is a newish problem, it's
only been happening for the last few months, although I couldn't tell
you what version did it. Before that, I had statuses that were several
years old.

I have seen this on separate computers with different architectures (x86
and x86-64) but both are Kubuntu Hardy

I thought at first that this was only happening when Pidgin (actually
the system it's running on) crashed, but I have seen it after normal
shutdowns as well.

If there is any way I can gather more info to help, please let me know.

Kubuntu Hardy x86:
