Public bug reported: I just do-release-upgraded to jaunty and encountered the following issue after reboot :
I cannot access Internet because name resolution fails in firefox, pidgin, evolution. However name resolution works using command-line tools (host, dig, ping, etc.) I changed /etc/resolv.conf to use my isp's dns server instead of my router and not firefox & Co works again (until next reboot when dhcp will put back my router's ip in /etc/resolv.conf). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [jaunty] Gnome cannot access Internet (dns problem) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/312104 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
