I agree. Apparently the only clue I get is that the active window has a white center instead of an orange one. But if the window is small, that amounts to nothing (see enclosed). Furthermore, the indication doesn't change until after I've stopped switching (at least with a compiz desktop cube). There really ought to be a bright green highlight around the edge of the active workspace or something. In fact, I don't care if the switcher shows me anything about the windows in the workspaces -- it's too small to be useful. Just show me which is the active one, please!!
