Public bug reported:

Intrepid 8.10 / Nautilus / gedit

Problem:
Nautilus opens files over SSH mount (with gedit) as read-only when not owner,
*even when you have permissions to write through group*. In Hardy (8.04) files
open just fine as writable.

Expected:
Files should open as writable if you have permissions to write to file through
group.

Result:
Files open as read-only.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
