Public bug reported: I have a Logitech Comfort Cordless Desktop (keyboard with encrypted transmission SecureConnect and with an optical laser mouse). I tried kubuntu 8.10 and ubuntu 8.10. Both hung several times in the installation process. After all (many trials) I got a working system installed, the mouse sometimes froze and the keyboard was not recognized or when it was recognized, it wasn't any more afterwards in Windows (XP, which I have on another hard disk as a dual boot option) and I had first to re-initialize the SecureConnect again (while booting into Windows with a second keyboard).
