Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
Hi, I'm trying to install CrashBang 8.10.01 on a Toshiba Tecra 8100 (PIII 650 Mhz, 192 MB RAM, 12 GB HDD, DVD-ROM, S3 Graphics Chip). Install fails with the following message : Traceback (Most recent call last): File ''usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/gtk_ui.py", line 1223, in watch_debconf_fd_helper return callback(source, debconf_condition) File ''usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/filteredcommand.py", line 196, in process_input self.status=self.wait() File ''usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/filteredcommand.py", line 128, in wait self.cleanup() File ''usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/components/console_setup.py", line 244, in cleanup model = self.db.get('console-setup/modelcode') File ''usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/debconf.py", line 60, in <lambda> lambda *args, **kw: self.command(command, *args, **kw)) File ''usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/debconf.py", line 64, in command self.write.write("%s %s\n" % (command, ' '.join(map(str, params)))) IOError: (Errno 32) Broken pipe I was also asked to attach the following files to my report : /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman but could not find the partman file in the /var/log directory.... Please feel free to contact me for any additional infos. Thank you for your help and good luck.
