Fixed in Edgy. ** Description changed:
The installer does not give sufficient user feedback during partition resizing, and may thus make the user belive the system has freezed. Steps to reproduce: 1. Choose resize from installation options 2. specify how much to resize and press continue 3. => the screen shows up only a blue area - no output what so ever 4. after a few minutes the installer continues again and everything goes fine Solution suggestion: During the reisize operation, instead of just a blue screen there should be something like "Resizing partition. This may take a few minutes." + + Update 2006-12-08: + At least on Edgy this seems now to be fixed. ** Changed in: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- Installer seems to hang during partition resizing, usability issue https://launchpad.net/bugs/39685 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
