I use DeVeDe 3.11. I have make a backport for my Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon
from the Intrepid Source.

DeVeDe is a Python program so it is nearly distribution independently.

I have two mpg files that i have shrink with avidemux (factor 1.15)

3,527,014,400 Bytes "Die Olsenbande sieht rot.mpg"
 797,603,840 Bytes "Jimmy Neutron - Der Alien-Leihvater.mpg"
------------------------
4,324,618,240 Bytes total

I use the Option "This file is already a DVD/xCD-suitable MPEG-PS file"

But DeVeDe calculate 107% for a 4,7GB Disk (58% vor a 8,5GB Disk) but
the result iso have 4,330,424,320 Bytes

4,330,424,320 Bytes divided
4,700,000,000 Bytes
---------------------------
92%

In a second test i have two files 2271 and 798 MBytes (real M =
1.000.000 Bytes) that are 3069 MBytes (65%) but DeVeDe calcuate 75% =
3.525 MBytes.

The difference from 107% to 92% is nearly 1.16
The difference from 75% to 65% is nearly 1.15

I think the wrong calculation have alltime the same factor.
