Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better, but unfortunately I've been unable to reproduce your
issue on Ubuntu 8.10. Gimp started correctly the first time I launched
it, and each time after that it remember how I resized and positioned
the Toolbox and other dialogs. On this same computer your are having
this problem on, can you reproduce this issue with an Ubuntu LIVE CD and
report back in the problem still exists on the Ubuntu LIVE CD?
