hello savvas, I mentioned my drive on my earlier post but for your convenience, it was samsung SH-S223 Serial SATA DVD Writer 22x Super Write Master.
To who ever got the problem solved may be it was good to let us know what are the drives and brands that fix the problem after the persistent storage file was edited.
