Apparently the original script depends on the Red Hat consolehelper command to let the user run the root commands (grub and shutdown -r). What would be the equivalent in Ubuntu?
The ubuntuforums post uses gksudo, but I don't think that's really the best. You don't need to enter a password to shutdown from the Gnome Panel or from Fast User Switch Applet, so you shouldn't have to from this, either. Is there a way to call whatever those actions are calling? http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1031697 -- [needs-packaging] bootnext https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/304215 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
