David I just installed the firefox-dbg package but have not been able to reproduce this exact problem as it was on the RC build and while installing packages. I was once able to reproduce a similar issue where firefox started hanging and subsequently crashed(appears due to lack of resources) on the final release build a couple weeks ago but can't reproduce consistently. The first time there was a clean install of firefox. Second time the beta flash 9, java 1.5.0_9 and shockwave extension was installed. Both times firefox was open a couple days without shutting down the browser prior to the crashes. I'll see if I can get you the necessary info.
