I have confirmed that in the version of dmraid released in intrepid, 1.0.0.rc14-2ubuntu12, the file /usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/local- top/dmraid is not marked as executable, and that the version of dmraid in intrepid-proposed, 1.0.0.rc14-2ubuntu12, fixes that.
